Ginger helps prevent hair loss.
When we were kids, our grandmother always prepared us salabat in the morning. Salabat is a beverage made of ginger-root or luya in Tagalog. Since, our grandparents belong to a poor family; serving salabat was all she can afford to prepare. She doesn’t need to buy it because they planted ginger in their farm. My cousin called our “salabat” as “milo” which stands for (mi) is “may” and (lo) is “lu” and then add “ya”, so mi-lo is may luya.
Anyhow, I didn’t know that the ginger root is one of the best herbal medicines for preventing hair loss. You just have to extract the juice and then massage the fresh juice directly on to the scalp and leave on for at least 15 minutes before rinsing. But for better results, leave on overnight. I have never tried it yet, but I would surely like to try it.

Funny how it seems that this very stinky smelling thing can resolve the issue of hair loss. I can’t just help myself from thinking about this plant but then I was feeling great for we had so much ginger down on our backyard.
